Davide – Ansible, Docker, PostgreSQL
Davide is a senior full-stack engineer specializing in .NET (including .NET 8), C#, React, Next.js, and TypeScript, with strong AWS and DevOps (Docker, GitHub Actions, Ansible) experience. He has architected and delivered complex platforms—often as sole technical owner—across domains such as construction, AI video management, and manufacturing. His strengths include distributed systems, domain-driven design, multi-tenancy, and a product-first mindset.

Software Architect
An Italian civil engineering company specializing in seismic retrofitting, offering patented systems for inspecting and reinforcing buildings against earthquakes — including a method for externally strengthening structures without requiring residents to vacate. Their software platform guides engineers through a 7-step seismic retrofit calculation process and automatically generates the corresponding technical report.t.

- Served as sole engineer on a hybrid CRM/ERP/Marketplace platform, owning requirements, architecture, backend, frontend, and DevOps from an empty repo to production in 19 months.
- Delivered a platform now serving ~4,000 users across dozens of companies, retained since release for ongoing support and evolution (~3–4 days/month).
- Designed the domain model and service boundaries using Domain-Driven Design, comprising ~100 domain entities and 390 REST endpoints across accounts, orders, quotes, and marketplace.
- Built a ~250-component React/TypeScript frontend.
- Architected the platform as a single multi-tenant deployment, with isolated data per company and a shared marketplace across tenants.
Technical Manager
An AI video-management platform for public transport, providing solutions for business transformation, offering neural-network-based automation and control systems to help businesses innovate and evolve.

- Led the core data model and architectural decisions for an AI video-management platform for public transport.
- Directed up to 2 engineers on the workstream alongside the other technical managers.
- Administered a fleet of IoT cameras across dozens of buses over Ansible and SSH.
- Coordinated remote rollouts under intermittent connectivity constraints.
- Designed remote AI video acquisition and analysis pipelines.
- Containerised the full stack with Docker.
Software Architect
A remote operations platform for autonomous rovers used in smart agriculture. The rovers work in the field on their own. The platform lets remote operators supervise a fleet deployed across multiple sites, see what each rover sees, and take direct control whenever one needs assistance, so nobody has to be physically on site.

- Delivered the MVP of a telecontrol and teleassistance system for an autonomous smart-agriculture rover in 6 months.
- Built a real-time command UI, telemetry pipeline, and video streaming capabilities.
- Designed the rover-to-control-centre communication architecture to degrade gracefully over intermittent rural connectivity.
Software Engineer
A large-scale e-commerce platform for one of the world's leading online luxury fashion retailers, selling multi-brand and designer collections to customers in many countries. It powered the full online shopping experience: browsing and searching a large catalogue, product pages, cart and checkout, and customer accounts and orders, with localized storefronts for different markets.
I joined as a consultant inside a large enterprise engineering organization and contributed across both backend and frontend. I shipped new features and resolved critical production issues, working within a large legacy codebase and the team's established development and release processes. The engagement required getting productive quickly in an unfamiliar, complex system and delivering changes safely on a high-traffic production platform.

Software Developer
A Manufacturing Execution System (MES) used by industrial companies to monitor and control production on the plant floor. It connected machines, production orders and people, giving production managers, quality engineers and plant supervisors a real-time view of the factory and the tools to plan production and correct problems as they happened.
The main features included production planning and scheduling, real-time monitoring of machines and production KPIs, statistical quality control, and management of plant calendars and working time. Customers used it to decide what to produce, on which line and when, to catch quality or efficiency problems early, and to measure plant performance over time.

- Designed and built three core modules of Opera MES, a manufacturing execution platform with ~600 industrial customers across 18 countries: the production calendar (modeling shifts, working time, and plant availability for planning and KPI calculation), the SPC (Statistical Process Control) module (monitoring process measurements via control charts to catch quality drift before it became defects), and the APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling) module (scheduling production orders across machines based on capacity and constraints).
- Built standalone web applications for real-time production KPI calculation, adopted by industrial customers for plant-floor monitoring and shipped as part of the product to the installed customer base.
- Analyzed production data and prototyped AI models for predictive maintenance on critical assets, leading a small team of up to two developers on part of this work.
Android Developer
A carpooling platform developed as part of a university-led project, aimed at reducing the number of single-occupancy vehicles in a congested industrial area near Bologna. The app connected drivers with commuters looking for a ride, matching them based on their locations and destinations.
- Built the entire Android app in Kotlin as the sole mobile developer
- Implemented the driver–passenger flow, presenting matches based on users' locations and destinations
- Developed route and map display on the Google Maps SDK
- Built user profiles and a rating system to build trust between drivers and passengers
- Integrated push notifications to keep users updated on matches and rides
- Integrated the app with the backend developed by a separate team
Mobile Developer
A mobile platform where users discovered, shared and reviewed places on an interactive map, with a community built around user-submitted locations. The client provided the backend; the mobile apps were developed natively for both iOS and Android.
- Developed native iOS and Android apps for a client's location-based discovery platform, integrating them with the client's existing backend.
- Built filterable Google Maps views, comment and review features, and offline mode.
- Implemented OneSignal push notifications.
- Delivered consistent functionality across both platforms while keeping users private through nickname-based accounts.
