Eric – Android, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose

A cross-platform app that automatically reposts creators' videos to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and Bluesky.

• Built and launched the product end-to-end as its only engineer, from a single Kotlin Multiplatform codebase for Android, iOS, and Web (Compose, SwiftUI, Koin, Ktor client).
• Designed a shared, pure-Kotlin controller layer with thin platform ViewModels, and solved Wasm-specific challenges such as dependency injection and image loading.
• Designed and ran a Kotlin/Ktor backend on Firestore with JWT authentication, rate limiting, WebSockets, and a circuit breaker;
• Integrated seven social platforms through OAuth and passed the API reviews with Meta, TikTok, and Google.
• Implemented billing with Stripe, Google Play Billing and the App Store (via RevenueCat), including webhooks and free trials;
• Shipped AI-powered Smart Captions and an in-house A/B testing system.
• Wrote 340+ automated backend tests, shipped 14 tagged releases, and led the hiring of the early marketing team.

Android streaming apps for a major UK TV broadcaster and a radio network.

• Standardized unit testing on JUnit5, MockK, and hand-written fakes, cutting test development time by 30% and making tests readable enough for QA to follow.
• Proposed and led the ITVX analytics migration from a tightly coupled legacy system to GA4, building data models and base classes so screen-level analytics only needed events defined, and wrote docs so junior developers could contribute.
• Built key playback features for the ITVX and Global Radio apps with ExoPlayer and delivered major updates to the Android Auto integrations;
• Helped migrate the apps to Jetpack Compose, Kotlin, and Coroutines, including converting legacy Java code to Kotlin.
• Mentored an intern with no industry experience into a permanent team member and ran knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Was promoted from Mid-level to Senior for leading architecture improvements that raised team efficiency.

Android e-commerce app for a fashion retailer.

• Built a reusable CMS component system that made content easier to manage across several screens of the app.
• Delivered regular feature updates and improvements to the Android app.
• Led the winning hackathon team that built an IoT-enabled vault for limited-edition sneakers, covering both the Android app and the backend. A Google developer advocate praised it for combining several disciplines.

A school planner Android app for students, built with a team of friends while still in secondary school. It reached a few thousand downloads on the Play Store and won a regional digital award.
