Evan – Dagster, Snowflake, FastAPI

A production data platform powering marketplace APIs, with multi-source Python ingestion normalized into an Apache Iceberg/S3 lakehouse, orchestrated by Dagster and served via FastAPI. The platform includes incremental SQLMesh transformations with canonical grains, column-level lineage, schema guards, and parity tests, as well as statistical pricing data-quality controls and an AI-assisted analytics interface with guarded SQL execution and live-source fetchers.

• Owned and operationalized the production data path behind marketplace APIs, normalizing multi-source Python ingestion into Apache Iceberg/S3 through Dagster orchestration and FastAPI serving;
• Rebuilt the production transformation layer with incremental SQLMesh models in dbt syntax, enforcing canonical grains, lineage, schema guards, and parity tests;
• Built statistical data-quality controls for pricing data using bimodal-distribution detection;
• Built a production AI-assisted analytics interface with the Cursor Agent SDK, including guarded SQL execution and live-source fetchers.

A data and analytics platform for the Sui blockchain ecosystem, providing DeFi datasets, dashboards, and governed cross-source analytics. The platform supported KPI tracking for a $75M ecosystem incentives program and extended DeepBook v3 indexing and portfolio data access through event handling, Postgres migrations, and a read API.

• Built Sui DeFi datasets and dashboards from zero to one using dbt + Dagster pipelines in Snowflake;
• Defined KPIs for a $75M ecosystem incentives program;
• Served as the primary data partner to Heads of Partnerships, DeFi, and Treasury;
• Shipped an MCP server with SQL allowlists and row caps for governed cross-source analytics;
• Extended the DeepBook v3 indexer through four self-initiated Rust PRs covering event handlers, Postgres migrations, and a portfolio read API.

A protocol analytics platform for Ethereum market-structure research, focused on inclusion latency, censorship incentives, and rollup reliability. The platform supported execution-quality measurement through Python-based ETL pipelines and time-series analytics in Postgres/Timescale.

• Conducted Ethereum Foundation grant-funded market-structure research on inclusion latency, censorship incentives, and rollup reliability;
• Built the protocol analytics stack from scratch, including Python ETL into Postgres/Timescale;
• Published an execution-quality measurement methodology.
