Idan – AI-assisted coding, Claude Code, ERC20
Idan is a senior blockchain engineer with strong hands-on experience in Solidity and Ethereum smart contracts, particularly for DeFi protocols. He architected and delivered a crypto volatility index platform (CVI) with elastic ERC-20 tokens, Uniswap integration, and Chainlink oracles. His strengths include audit process management, client communication, and product-focused delivery. Recent Solidity work is not current but demonstrates deep design and implementation expertise.

Senior Full-Stack Engineer
A large algorithmic trading system for a financial client. It ingests market data, runs trading algorithms on it, and turns the results into automated trading decisions, with a React web interface for monitoring and control. Speed from data arrival to decision is critical to its performance.
- Redesigned the system's threading and pool model to separate market-data collection from algorithm processing, reducing end-to-end latency from data arrival to trading decision.
- Built and extended Java/Spring backend services and the React web UI across several development phases.
- Delivered work in milestone-based stages with estimates and early prototypes to validate requirements with the client.
Senior Solidity Engineer
A decentralized trading platform built around a VIX-style volatility index for crypto markets. Before it existed, crypto traders had no simple on-chain way to hedge against volatility itself or take a position on it. Traders open and close positions on the index through an AMM, liquidity providers supply the capital on the other side, and Chainlink oracles feed in off-chain options data from Bitcoin and Ethereum markets. Over four major releases, the platform added an elastic volatility token that trades directly on DEXs, margin trading, a 3x leveraged index with positions up to 16x, auto-balancing liquidity vaults, and deployments on Polygon and Arbitrum.
- Designed and built the platform's entire smart-contract codebase end-to-end as the sole Solidity engineer, taking four major versions from design through external audits to live launch on Ethereum, Polygon, and Arbitrum.
- Designed an elastic ERC-20 token pegged to a bounded index, so users could hold a position simply by buying the token on Uniswap instead of posting collateral through a trading UI.
- Defended the protocol against oracle front-running by combining index smoothing, a 24–48-hour position-close lock, and dynamic fees that rise when the next index move is predictable.
- Designed the dynamic position-funding fee model and the liquidity vaults that automatically rebalance LP capital across the ecosystem for higher capital efficiency.
- Worked with quant and finance specialists and the front-end team to turn product mechanics into contract designs, and planned and executed contract migrations between versions.
- Designed the full unit and integration test strategy and wrote nearly all tests.
- Ran each audit cycle: triaged findings by severity, fixed valid issues, and pushed back on findings that misread the product before the report was published at launch.
Senior Solidity Engineer
A decentralized finance protocol on the Ethereum network, developed under NDA, so product details and the client name are confidential. The protocol runs entirely on audited smart contracts and went from design through external security audits to a live mainnet launch.
- Owned the protocol's entire Solidity codebase and test suite end-to-end, from contract design to live mainnet launch.
- Designed and implemented all unit and integration tests.
- Led the external audit process and resolved every finding before launch.
- Provided technical support through the production launch.
Senior Game Developer
An interactive, camera-driven exhibit for a science museum. Visitors’ movements are detected in real time and drive on-screen animations, turning a science concept into a hands-on game. The exhibit runs on fixed hardware with strict performance limits and has to respond smoothly to the public all day.
- Designed the exhibit’s game concept and built it end-to-end, from game rules to the final on-site installation.
- Split camera detection and animation rendering into separate threads, delivering smooth real-time interaction on fixed, limited hardware with barely noticeable lag.
- Collaborated with artists and musicians on the exhibit’s visuals and sound.
Lead Game Developer
A math-education platform for children from kindergarten to 6th grade, built around interactive games grounded in established math-teaching methods. Schools and families use it to make math practice engaging and pedagogically sound.
- Led a team of about 7 game developers building the platform’s math games, and coordinated with art, game-design, pedagogy, and management teams.
- Extended the custom HTML5 Canvas game engine with Box2D physics, rendering-performance improvements, and algorithms that generate math questions.
- Mentored new developers on clean code and software design.
Senior Game Developer
Developed various gaming projects for multiple clients.
Developed an AR tablet game for the Tower of David, in cooperation with a video editing team, consisting of both game design and location specific implementation.
- Developed games for multiple client projects.
- Programmed an AR tablet game for the Tower of David Museum in Jerusalem in cooperation with TheGamers.TV.
Senior Game Developer
