Ivan – QA Automation, Playwright, Cypress

Fintech company that provides solutions related to payment processing and card management. Ivan's main responsibilities include the development of the test strategy and leading the QA team on the project.

• Leading the QA team. Defining the priorities and responsibilities and providing PDP plans;
• Developing and implementing the test strategy for the project;
• Preparing automation strategy for the in-scope applications;
• Writing automated tests using Playwright JS;
• Participating in various improvement meetings, contributing to the development of test standards, methodologies, practices, and processes;
• Creating test documentation (test plan; checklists; test cases; test reports, coverage matrix);
• Conducting Sprint Demos and delivering progress reports to stakeholders.

A FINMA-licensed crypto bank in Switzerland. I've been working with the core banking system. My main responsibility was to adjust the testing process and introduce the automation framework.

• Supported the entire testing life cycle, starting from reviewing requirements, test case creation, test execution, and test reporting, including test data preparation and test environment management;
• Led the remote testing team of 3 QA engineers;
• Identified testing solutions, specifically automated solutions, to reduce software time-to-market and prepared automation strategy for the in-scope applications;
• Collaborated with external vendors, Business and IT owners, Architects, and offshore teams to implement the test strategy.

The role included involvement in projects across multiple domains, such as social, finance, and the oil field, which has been a consistent theme.

• Coordinated product releases;
• Tested mobile and web applications;
• Built test strategy for new projects;
• Implemented automated tests using Cypress.io;
• Provided Accessibility testing (according to WCAG);
• Helped to organize Planning, Retrospective, and Grooming meetings;
• Took part in Design sessions to provide better UX.
