Jakub – Django, Python, REST API

Jakub handled the following:

• Integrated the platform with new providers;
• Transferred, retrieved, and transformed the marketing data.

It is a marketplace solution connecting e-commerce to life science. It exists so research scientists can spend more time on science and achieve those eureka moments. To do this, company designed a feature-rich marketplace to make streamlined online shopping decisions for research materials.

Jakub accomplished the following:

• Improved performance of queries in legacy code resulting in 10 times faster product upload time;
• Improved data validation and quality;
• Improved the behavior of search users' needs.

It is an exclusive members-only travel club offering its members huge discounts and great deals on hand-picked luxury hotels and holidays. Users can search and book hotels, trips, or flights.

Jakub worked on the following:

• Ported functionality from legacy PHP app into Django app;
• Refactored legacy finance module of the app with complex business logic;
• Added new payments methods, overhauling custom Django admin modules.

The platform provides evidence-based approaches for managing menopause, including cognitive behavioral therapy, hypnotherapy, nutritional therapy, mindfulness, and fitness. This iOS app was developed with health and wellness experts specializing in women’s health.

Jakub completed the following tasks:

• Designed new REST API endpoints;
• Added system for generating personalized reports in PDF format;
• Implemented paid subscription model integrated with App Store.
