An experimentation and feature flags platform for a big client in the streaming industry (under NDA). The platform is used by other teams inside the company to enable/disable features for specific audiences, enabling targeted and incremental rollouts.

• Enhanced an experimentation and feature-flag platform by delivering new capabilities and improving existing functionality, such as: incremental rollouts, dynamic audiences targeting, holdouts.
• Wrote unit/integration/e2e tests
• Worked on new performance tests that run daily on Gatling.
• Worked on JMH benchmarks to tune performance of hot paths in the source code.
• Worked on performance improvements around N+1 issues in GraphQL calls.
• Built a Smithy-based SDK cross-compiled for Java, Scala 2 and Scala 3, enabling type-safe feature-flag integration.

I've worked for two different clients (under NDA). For the first client, which was an AdTech company, I've worked on integrations with external Ad platforms, allowing users to have more options when serving ads. For the second client, which was for an online radio/music streaming company, I've worked on the Alexa integration, allowing users to directly play their favorite music from their Alexa devices, instead of using the Android/iOS app on their phones.

• Maintained a high-scale audience-targeting platform integrating Adobe, Facebook, TikTok, Iterable, and major advertising networks.

I've worked for 3 clients (under NDA).

The first one was related to AdTech, and I've worked in the data engineering team, taking responsibility of their ETL pipelines which prepared data for other internal systems that integrated the geolocation-based mobile advertising platform that the company offered to its customers.

The second one was an online education platform specific for lawyers, and cloud unified communications. The system was in charge of handling students and teachers’ data, information about courses, schedules and materials, and also handled the financial information, related with students’ payments.

The third one was a Unified Communications platform that provided customers a self-service tool to gain complete control over their Telephony Systems, Contact Centers, Virtual Servers and Desktops, and other cloud services.

• Worked on ETL orchestration to Apache Airflow, using Scala Spark on Amazon EMR.
• Worked on the backend of an online education platform for lawyers
• Developed a Unified Communications REST API for a global telephony and contact-center platform, originally written in Java with Spring Boot and then migrated to a completely new system written with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Wrote unit/integration/e2e tests.
• Conducted technical interviews.

A course called "Build, Train, and Deploy Machine Learning Models with Amazon SageMaker" for Pluralsight that offers courses, hands-on labs, assessments, and training in areas such as AI, cloud, cybersecurity, and software development.

VIVA is one of the most important telco companies in Bolivia. I've worked on their SMS, PCRF (Policy and Charging Rules) and OCS (Online Charging) platforms for 3G/4G networks.

• Designed and implemented a new distributed SMS platform delivering 99.999% availability across 3G and 4G networks.
• Built a PCRF for real-time quality-of-service policy enforcement across the mobile network.
• Developed an OCS for real-time billing of voice, data, and SMS services.
