The client was the largest workplace management software company in the world. It provided workplace management software designed to optimize office space and enhance employee experiences. Their SaaS solutions catered to enterprises seeking improved space utilization and operational efficiency across various sectors, including government, healthcare, education, and technology.

The idea was to build a facility management system with on-site sensors processed by the apps, handle asset management using agents on client software and electronic tags, and manage space using smart software for office buildings and small co-located spaces.

Jose was responsible for the following:

• designed, implemented, and managed Azure & AWS cloud infrastructure, developed as code with Terraform, utilizing modules and other third-party IaC tools;
• built and maintained various pipelines using Azure DevOps and Codefresh, incorporating diverse tasks and plugins;
• customized business logic within the pipelines using Bash or Python when necessary;
• oversaw Azure and AWS Kubernetes clusters using GitOps methodologies;
• carried out infrastructure architecture design, maintenance & support;
• hired team members across India, USA & Costa Rica.

The client was a prominent global leader in advanced space technology solutions, renowned for its extensive array of commercial satellite imagery services. These services enabled governments and commercial entities to effectively detect changes and develop comprehensive contextual understanding on a large scale.

Among others, Jose carried out such tasks:

• implemented and maintained pipelines from scratch for the aerospace industry, specifically for satellite imagery, utilizing diverse tasks and plugins;
• tailored business logic within pipelines using Bash or Python;
• performed AWS Infrastructure architecture design, maintenance & support;

Jose's diverse spectrum of duties included the following tasks:

• utilized experience with GitHub / Helix core, Ansible, serverspec, GoCD and Jenkins to support configuration management and CI/CD pipelines across VMs and containers (Docker);
• maintained application/web servers in Weblogic, Tomcat, Jboss and Nginx, using his knowledge of web languages like Rails, JavaScript, Java EE and Python/ Bash;
