Australian climate-tech startup providing NFC-powered digital experiences for large consumer brands, connecting physical events and promotions with mobile and web experiences. Its products include programmable NFC tags, iOS and Android apps for tag management and scanning, and a web platform.

• Reviewed and extended the existing codebase and designed a scalable architecture for the React Native mobile apps, React web platform, and backend API infrastructure;
• Conducted technical audits, provided architectural recommendations, and contributed to technical proposals and SaaS offering materials presented directly to prospective clients;
• Supported technical and product discussions that contributed to securing the company’s first B2B client within the first few months;
• Designed and built a scalable microservices architecture and established cloud infrastructure and DevOps workflows using AWS and Supabase;
• Developed frontend and mobile functionality using React, React Native, and TypeScript, and backend services using Node.js and Express;
• Worked directly with the client to translate business requirements into technical architecture, priorities, and delivery plans;

Greenfield e-learning and accreditation platform for a national Australian energy company, built to support 10,000+ learners with complex real-time functionality (~$0.5M contract).

• Architected and built frontend state management using TypeScript, React, and Redux, implementing authentication, event handling, and optimistic and cascading updates;
• Expanded into backend development after stabilizing the frontend, building APIs with Node.js and NestJS, AWS webhook-based event handling, hierarchical updates, and TDD practices;
• Optimized real-time rendering performance, reducing client-experienced lag by 3x for status updates;
