A privacy-focused, local-first AI desktop application for real-time voice interactions, combining on-device language-model inference and speech processing with optional hosted AI integrations. I defined the product, owned its architecture and full-stack development, and took it from prototype to a working internal alpha.

• Founded and led end-to-end research and development as its solo engineer, owning product definition, architecture, implementation, and final technical decisions.
• Progressed the product from prototype to a working internal alpha using Rust, Tauri, React, and TypeScript, with local language-model inference and streaming speech input and output.
• Established repeatable evaluation and quality gates for model, prompt, and product changes, identifying and rejecting regressions before adoption.
• Directed AI coding agents through specification-driven implementation, review, and testing, verifying changes before acceptance.

An AI-powered supplier-intelligence platform used by Fortune 500 enterprises, the U.S. Department of Defense, and more than 40 federal agencies. It helps procurement and risk teams evaluate suppliers and monitor financial, cyber, regulatory, and geopolitical risks across supply chains. My work focused on building and rolling out a shared identity and authentication service across multiple products.

• Owned the centralized identity service’s architecture and completed roughly 90% of its implementation, independently preparing and delivering production releases through the existing AWS infrastructure. Rolled out the service to two products and advanced integration with a third, working across at least three engineering teams.
• Decoupled authentication from a legacy application and built a standalone OpenID Connect-based identity service with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Express, enabling single sign-on (SSO) and advancing FedRAMP readiness.
• Strengthened session security by moving OAuth tokens into Redis-backed server-side storage, reducing browser token exposure and implementing refresh-token rotation and reuse detection.
• Hardened tenant isolation and access controls through centralized MFA, least-privilege database access, session revocation, and PostgreSQL row-level security.
• Managed a staged migration from legacy authentication with feature flags and rollback support. Added frontend, backend, and Playwright end-to-end tests covering login, logout, session expiration, multi-tab behavior and other critical authentication related flows.

A gamified language-learning application for iOS and Android, combining interactive lessons, animated 3D characters, flashcards, and social features. I owned the initial architecture and development, then led the engineering team through public launch. During the engagement, the product’s Kickstarter campaign raised $1.2 million from more than 8,000 backers.

• Joined as the first technical hire and owned the initial full-stack architecture and development across React Native, Node.js, and GCP.
• Independently delivered three major mobile iterations before the team expanded, then led release operations through the public iOS and Android launch.
• Built a reusable Three.js and React Three Fiber rendering layer for animated characters, improving repeat loading performance and reducing duplicate memory use through shared caching.
• Built core learning, social, flashcard, and authenticated admin systems, and integrated RevenueCat for in-app purchases.
• Reduced pre-launch regression risk through targeted end-to-end tests and developer-owned validation before code review.
• Onboarded, mentored, and technically led three engineers in a four-developer team while remaining hands-on with architecture, implementation, and production support.

A UK B2B fintech platform for international payments, invoice management, cash-flow reporting, and foreign-exchange risk analysis. I built the initial customer application and admin panel, then expanded into backend services, financial integrations, release automation, and production support.

• Joined as the first technical hire and took the initial React and TypeScript customer application and admin panel from zero to production in approximately three weeks.
• Built Node.js and TypeScript microservices on GCP for payments, invoices, and cash flow, with Currencycloud and Xero integrations and Stripe Connect subscriptions.
• Implemented FX-risk backtesting and forward-looking exposure reports from founder-supplied formulas and Bank of England historical data.
• Designed resilient Firestore-to-Elasticsearch synchronization with automated retries and replay, recovering failed reporting-data updates in production.
• Reduced Elasticsearch costs by approximately half through storage optimizations.
• Built frontend and backend CI/CD pipelines from scratch with GitHub Actions, automating checks and controlled production releases.
• Guided architecture and delivery, onboarded two engineers, mentored a junior engineer to independence, and conducted more than 50 technical interviews.

Client web applications and backend services for virtual recruiting events, shopping rewards, and other digital products. I worked as a hands-on contract engineer and technical lead, taking engagements from early discovery into delivery and ongoing support.

• Joined as the first engineer in the client-delivery team and advanced from Software Engineer to Lead Software Engineer during the first year.
• Established technical direction, onboarded developers, and guided teams of up to five. Conducted more than 50 candidate interviews and provided technical hiring recommendations.
• Helped win and launch approximately eight client engagements through technical interviews, early discovery, and hands-on delivery.
• At TalentSpace, co-developed WebRTC peer-to-peer rooms and group sessions for virtual recruiting events. The group system was load tested with over 100 participants and demonstrated live.
• At Wildfire Systems, implemented client-side Auth0 authentication across internal and customer-facing React applications and contributed directly to a Chrome extension.
• Spent more than two years maintaining and extending Wildfire Systems’ production Go and PostgreSQL microservices through defect fixes, database corrections, and incremental features.
