A national e-commerce storefront for a major office-supply and tech retailer, serving millions of customers across Canada. Product data flows from a PIM through an ETL pipeline into Shopify and Algolia search, powering the homepage, product listing, product detail and cart pages. The frontend team is responsible for keeping catalog and search data accurate and the shopping experience fast and reliable.

• Lead a frontend team of 4 that owns the homepage, PLP, PDP and cart on a React/Shopify storefront.
• Designed a stopgap SEO rendering pipeline instead of an immediate Next.js migration: daily Puppeteer jobs generate hydrated HTML into Azure Blob Storage, and Cloudflare routes bot traffic to it. It's estimated to protect ~$4M/year in organic traffic value.
• Trace and fix production issues across the PIM → ETL → Shopify/Algolia chain, working with Data Science, Backend, Inventory and Merchandising to find root causes of wrong prices and missing products.
• Run code reviews and technical assessments to check sprint feasibility and frontend architecture standards.
• Mentor team members on implementation, architecture and communication.

A daily riddle and logic-puzzle app for iOS and iPadOS with 1,000+ hand-curated puzzles across logic, lateral thinking, wordplay and math. Players complete a Daily Challenge to build streaks, use hints, answer by typing or speaking, and track their stats. The app is monetised through an ad-supported coin economy.

• Designed and built the app solo from a single React Native + TypeScript codebase for iPhone and iPad.
• Implemented the Daily Challenge and streak system, hints, and stats tracking.

A cross-platform app that lets users save videos from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X into one searchable library instead of losing them across platforms. Users organise saved videos into nested playlists with notes and pins, and share playlists with friends through an in-app shared inbox with push notifications. It's live on iOS, iPadOS and Android, and its early users save 100–200 videos each.

• Designed and built the app solo, from product idea and UX to App Store release.
• Built an iOS share extension for one-tap saving from 5 video platforms.
• Built the backend on Supabase: a Postgres schema of ~12 tables, Apple/Google sign-in and push notifications.
• Designed in-app playlist sharing with a shared inbox and push, so shared content doesn't get buried in chat threads.
• Set up builds, code signing and App Store releases with Expo EAS.
• Fixed issues found in real use after launch, including share-sheet crashes and iPad layout problems.

A two-sided marketplace connecting homeowners with home-service professionals, with web and mobile apps for both sides. The platform replaced static project-intake forms with an AI chat flow that collects requirements and gives pros a brief answering about 80% of their questions on arrival, so they can quote faster. It also includes real-time chat and booking between homeowners and pros.

• Argued for separate React and React Native codebases over React Native for web, then independently built and owned the iOS and Android apps for both homeowners and pros.
• Built the core booking and chat flow on Stream Chat and moved it from project-based channels to a single-channel model that is easier to navigate.
• Built the frontend of the AI intake chat (automated requirement collection and project summaries). Improved v1 by feeding in real historical project data after users reported repetitive questions.
• Pushed Stream Chat's vendor team to fix an unread-count bug at the source instead of patching it on the frontend.
• Helped migrate the legacy React–Angular homeowner app to React, cutting page load times by ~30%.
• Built a reusable component library in Storybook, and was later trusted to build a Next.js project from scratch.

An onboarding application for a global online forex and CFD trading platform that takes new traders from sign-up to a verified, funded account. Each country and business division has its own regulatory rules and required documents, handled by state machines that route every user through the right flow. The app supports 18 languages and meets WCAG accessibility standards. A companion mobile app lets users manage their regulatory consents.

• Owned the full KYC registration flow in React + TypeScript, using state machines to route users across countries and divisions.
• Built dynamic workflows for 100+ country-specific document submissions, covered by Cypress end-to-end tests and unit tests.
• Led development of the React Native consent-management app and integrated it into a shared monorepo.
• Built REST endpoints in Python (Pyramid) on the backend.
• Mentored 5 interns.

Internal tools and a client-communication service for a large investment management firm. A slow legacy internal tool was replaced with a React frontend and a Node.js/Oracle backend, cutting data retrieval by 6–8 minutes per user. An email service built on SendGrid powers the firm's client marketing campaigns.
