• Architected and led the backend platform of a social video product.
• Led two Backend Team Leads and one Frontend Team Lead, 10+ engineers, while staying hands-on with critical-path code.
• Designed the payments ledger: double-entry, integer-only money, anidempotency key on every balance write, transactional outbox to Pub/Sub. Zero lost, duplicated or incorrect-amount payments, with a kill switch when drift passes one dollar
• Built the content safety layer on self-hosted Llama models: classification of text, image, video and audio off the request path, a worker per media type, dedup by content hash, fail-closed on the riskiest category
• Designed event-driven communication on GCP Pub/Sub: at-least-once delivery, consumer-side dedup, dead-letter queues with alerting.
• Owned architecture across 10 domains, authored 50+ ADRs and RFCs, ran design reviews and the senior hiring barStack: Go, PostgreSQL, Redis, OpenSearch, GCP (GKE, Pub/Sub), Kubernetes, OpenTelemetry, Stripe, RevenueCat.
