Piotr – Python, Django, React

Complete Ecosystem for Kiosk App Development & Management. The platform allows to build, deploy, and manage self-service kiosk applications. It provides everything from development tools to fleet management.

Piotr was responsible for the development of the entire system, including:

• Custom Operating System installer;
• Linux CLI program that manages the app (Python/Click);
• UI based on React/Next.js (+UX/UI);
• Back-end systems (Django, Celery, Postgres, WebSockets...);
• Infrastructure using Terraform (deployed on QWS);
• Custom JavaScript/Typescript SDK (package available on npm);
• SSO using Auth0;
• Stripe subscription integration.

An AI project aiming to work with organization data and make decisions on recommendations provided by the engine that are generated based on proprietary data and multiple tools.

• Implemented the flow of interacting with internal AI tools and web, and also used LLMs to implement feature logic;
• Created infrastructure from scratch to enterprise production environments following CAF (Cloud Adoption Framework);
• Created multiple microservices in Django and FastAPI;
• Added applications monitoring and testing solutions;
• Implemented SSO (with entraID tenant identity provider);
• Implemented many front-end features end-to-end (with monitoring and supporting);
• Implemented long-running app logic using Azure Durable Functions.

Real-time bidding Ad Exchange. A Web application for the demand side of an OpenRTB and ad-network mediation ad exchange for omnichannel ad formats and environments. Consisted of multiple backends and UIs.

• Developed a new service from scratch used by various teams;
• Discovered & fixed SSO security issues;
• Implemented several team-wide improvements in the code and management domains;
• Fixed various performance issues;
• Was an initiator and responsible for upgrading React app version and Kubernetes cluster;
• Worked as a Full-stack engineer, involved in Full Product Life Cycle;
• Developed, designed, tested, and deployed to production (Kubernetes cluster).

A platform for digital advertisement (Digital Signage), a software for managing distributed screens and displays.

• Migrated old environment to AWS and Kubernetes cluster;
• Split monolithic application into microservices;
• Added real-time communication with end devices (web sockets);
• Added monitoring and performance tests;
• Created UI for the platform (Angular);
• Managed to deliver all functionalities within Sprints.

Infrastructure for the future of art investments and donations engineered on the blockchain.

• Delivered a working prototype of a product that was used in production;
• Created integration between blockchain infrastructure and web application;
• Built frontend UI (Angular) for user interactions;
• Iterated and discussed the scope of the product with investors;
• Did the infrastructure setup on GCP.

A Quality of Service product and software to manage a cluster of servers with the installed product. (+ HA features)

• Delivered a highly efficient and optimized kernel module to process packets (Netfilter);
• Developed C++11 OOP (TDD) application that applied business logic;
• Introduced IPC mechanism (shared memory), ring buffers, and huge pages for communications;
• Did code reviews;
• Supported clients during product launches.
