Research and Innovation Lead
This is the second project Sega worked on via a business platform described below. This time, it was the Business Assistant (chatbot) which was integrated into the internal platform. Chatbot enabled users to interact with the platform through natural language and offered features like generative AI capabilities, natural language processing, task automation and continuous learning. This made it easier for them to perform tasks such as generating reports, managing invoices, and tracking inventory, all through conversational commands, and was primarily aimed at small business owners and entrepreneurs.
Sega's responsibilities included the following:
- led a team in developing advanced generative AI solutions, enhancing user experience through innovative Generative UX applications;
- spearheaded the creation of intelligent agents for treasury management and pre-accounting processes, significantly improving operational efficiency;
- optimized AI technologies to leverage data effectively, aligning innovations with the company’s strategic goals;
- directed research and development efforts to explore and implement cutting-edge AI solutions, pushing the boundaries of technology in our field.
Senior Software Developer
The client was a business management platform aimed at small businesses. It was designed to simplify the everyday tasks that business owners faced by combining several key functions into one application. The product handled accounting, invoicing, inventory management, and customer relationship management, all in one place. It was particularly useful for small business owners, entrepreneurs, and accountants who needed an efficient way to manage their business processes.
The main features include automated accounting, invoicing system CRM for sales and customer relationships, and detailed business reports.
Sega's contributions included, but were not limited to:
- led the migration from GWT to React, modernizing the front-end stack and improving the overall performance, maintainability, and user experience of the product;
- contributed to the design, implementation, deployment, and support of new features throughout this modernization process, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption;
- evaluated and selected new technologies, guiding the team through the transition and establishing best practices for the new tech stack;
- enhanced system scalability and future-proofed the platform by adopting React, resulting in faster development cycles and a more robust front-end architecture.
Senior Developer
The client was a mobile app developed by an association to combat sexist violence and support victims. It provided immediate assistance and guidance to individuals affected by sexist attacks, helping them locate essential support services such as medical care, counseling, and legal aid. The app served as a vital resource for those in need of timely help and access to appropriate support centers.
Among others, Sega has successfully managed the following tasks:
- designed and built the front-end architecture of the HandsAway app, ensuring a robust and scalable interface;
- developed and implemented unit and end-to-end tests, enhancing the app’s reliability and performance;
- set up and maintained CI/CD pipelines, facilitating efficient deployment and publishing of the app to the App Store;
- integrated features for locating support centers and emergency resources, improving accessibility for users in need.
