A new U.K. startup hooks directly into the U.K.’s NHS healthcare system to offer itself as a personalized pharmacy option, listed alongside local stores on GPs’ computers. It’s now raised $6 million in seed funding from Pear VC and Hoxton Ventures. The main features Stepan worked on were internal POS - Operational System aka Back Office; integration with EPS - Electronic Prescription Service; patient “onboarding” feature.

• refactored the majority of the code from Javascript to Typescript;
• added e2e tests with 60% coverage, covering some parts by 100%, including some difficult cases like parsing and comparing pdf files that are printed in the pharmacy;
• added CI/CD Pipeline for tests together with parallelization to several machines;
• redesigned the front-end, added components UI library, and added layering with the help of Redux Toolkit as a state manager and Redux-Observable as a middleware.

• developed a homepage for search and view digital solutions using partially dynamic routing for SEO optimization along with filtering, searching, and linking multiple data sources - such as Contentful and Salesforce using and enhancing the Algolia engine;
• improved the community network using Tribe and did various two-way integrations with the main platform;
• refactored and redesigned many pages using React, SCSS Modules, and GraphQL;
• added Google Analytics to track Cognito events on the backend using AWS Lambda;
• developed many endpoints for different purposes using Express;
• maintained e2e tests using Cypress.
