Senior Full-stack Engineer
A music creation platform used by thousands of artists across web, desktop, and mobile.

- Shipped weekly production releases across web, desktop, and mobile apps.
- Built the real-time layer that pushed live upload progress and AI audio tagging to every client using WebSocket and MongoDB change streams.
- Rolled out PostHog analytics across the web, backend, mobile, and desktop stack with a shared event schema.
- Designed and single-handedly built Offtop Link, a cross-platform Electron desktop app that watched local folders and synced audio to the cloud.
- Set up the signed release pipeline with notarized macOS builds, Windows signing through Azure Key Vault, and auto-updates from S3.
- Built an iMessage assistant on the OpenAI tool, which allows producers to manage their library by texting.
- Wrote audio transcoding workers as a separate service fed by SQS and BullMQ.
- Moved lossless files from S3 to Cloudflare R2 to reduce egress costs.
- Led contributions on the React Native app and built its real-time sync over Server-Sent Events.
- Sped up the web app with an abortable throttled upload engine, server-side waveform rendering, and virtual scrolling for long libraries.
Front-end Engineer
A hospice offering for Axxess. It facilitated patient hospice care tracking and note-taking for medical professionals in the hospice department (terminally ill patients). Tochukwu worked on improving the usability and scalability of the frontend of the multi-tenant auth system and the uploads feature. His role involved improving the stability and speed of the Aurelia application and ensuring it worked in at least 5 browsers, each 5 years older than the current year.

- Built interfaces used by more than 30,000 healthcare professionals, with support for older browsers down to Chrome 55 and Safari 7.
- Responsible for the Hospice software UI, building new features and maintaining legacy services.
Full-stack Engineer
A large-file sharing web app built for music producers, with first-class support for sending and previewing multi-track audio "stems." Users could upload folders of large audio files, share them with recipients by email, and set expiry durations on each transfer, while recipients could preview and play synchronized multi-track audio right in the browser before downloading.
Tochkwu designed and built the entire client from scratch as a single-page React/TypeScript app: a chunked, resumable upload pipeline for multi-gigabyte transfers, an in-browser multi-track audio player with real-time waveform rendering, background zipping and uploading so users stayed free to keep working, and a full dashboard for managing sent/received transfers. The app was engineered to survive interrupted connections. Uploads were backed up locally in the browser and could resume automatically after a refresh, crash, or going offline.
- Architected a resumable, chunked upload pipeline for multi-gigabyte transfers using S3 presigned multipart uploads, a custom queue manager, and back-pressure limiting to keep memory flat while streaming files.
- Built local upload backup & auto-resume using the browser's Origin Private File System (OPFS) inside a dedicated Web Worker, uploads survived page refreshes, crashes, and offline periods, then resumed from the last completed chunk.
- Engineered an in-browser multi-track audio player on the Web Audio API for previewing music stems, with waveform peaks computed off the main thread in a Web Worker and rendered in real time.
- Streamed ZIP creation in the browser (JSZip streaming API) so large folders were zipped and uploaded chunk-by-chunk in the background rather than held whole in memory.
- Implemented the full product surface: authenticated dashboard, drag-and-drop transfer creation, recipient management, per-transfer expiry, transfer detail pages, and account management — with React, TypeScript, Tailwind, Sass, and Framer Motion.
- Integrated authentication via Clerk, including a longer-lived token flow to support long-running resumable uploads.
- Shipped and operated the product end-to-end: deployed on Vercel, migrated from an Electron build to a web app, and ran infrastructure across Google Cloud Run (dev) and AWS Fargate (prod), maintaining a conventional-commit changelog through v0.10.0.
Software Engineer

- Worked on and maintained sites that drove 30,000+ units in sales monthly.
- Worked as a forward-deployed engineer for several external teams and helped create value by helping design systems to handle a large influx of traffic due to viral moments.
- Helped create the first testing methodologies for various external teams I worked with.
