Vlad – Ruby on Rails, React, Typescript

This project was a solution for advancing careers in Product and Growth, offering e-learning services in marketing analytics, growth strategy, monetization, retention, engagement, and data.

Vlad's main responsibilities included:

• migrated legacy codebase to React + Typescript + GQL;
• integrated tracking using Segment and developed custom Segment tools for generating syncing Segment to Typescript events;
• developed key features around payments and taxes using Stripe & Avalara;
• developed new features for the growth team and premium team;
• set the foundation for an intelligent search system using vector embeddings and similarity search;
• built a data ingestion pipeline for the AI-based search system;
• developed an in-app AI chat interface with document understanding and user awareness capabilities;
• successfully led technical aspects of key feature development;
• improved codebase, CI/CD pipelines, and developer experience;
• coached junior developers and supported their growth;
• integrated AI solutions into the platform;
• developed an AI-based Chrome extension for knowledge workers;
• reverse-engineered popular platforms for seamless extension integration.

The product was a performance management platform designed to boost organizational growth by enhancing employee engagement, career development, and performance management. It provided strategic consultancy and tailored, cloud-based solutions that streamlined performance reviews, set SMART goals, and fostered continuous improvement.

Vlad's contributions included, but were not limited to:

• defined the technical direction of the project;
