This online accounting software for businesses has a build process that was on-premise with lots of issues in terms of reliability.

• Analyzed the Jenkins Cluster setup;
• created migration plan from on-premise to AWS, doing greenfield;
• built out AWS infrastructure instances using Terraform;
• configured the newly Jenkins Master and Slaves;
• migrated in batch jobs from the existing on-premise cluster to the new AWS cluster.

This automotive software company manages a database of automotive products for the car insurance industry. They use the product to analyze sales, among other metrics. Thus, it is imperative that the product is kept up to date. In addition to sales analysis, they use it to detect security violations within its digital perimeter.

• Analyzed the current cluster setup;
• created a brownfield migration plan for Splunk-7.x to Splunk-8.x;
• achieved approval from the management of migration plan;
• as a brownfield migration, installed Splunk-8.x cluster on the new VMware;
• configured search indexers, search heads, distributed monitoring, deployment, and license server;
• migrated data from older VMs to new VMware VMs;
• updated and fixed "Splunk apps," those that had issues on the newer Splunk-8.x;
• provided after migration support.

This online ticketing company had a 2 TB/day ingestion Splunk cluster that consisted of 10 node indexing cluster. Splunk was used primarily for measuring sales of tickets and fraud detection. They needed to upgrade Splunk and move it off the out-of-warranty hardware into newly purchased hardware.

• Analyzed existing Splunk cluster setup;
• re-architected cluster to double the ingestion rate to 4 TB/day;
• created greenfield migration plan from Splunk-6.x to Splunk-8.x;
• worked with Infrastructure team to build out 16 physical indexing and 8 search head servers;
• installed and configured Splunk-8.x;
• implemented multi-cluster searches;
• implemented batched migration of forwarders from the old to the new indexers;
• created a docker image of Splunk forwarder for EC2 instances and Kubernetes pods;
• provided post-installation support.
