Software Engineer
A desktop application designed to simplify version control by providing an intuitive, cloud-storage-like interface over Git. Built using Electron, TypeScript, and Vue2. Its primary use case is to help users easily manage, version, and collaborate on Evolvix simulation models without needing prior Source Code Management (SCM) expertise, effectively bridging the gap between powerful version control and user-friendly file management.
- Acquired in-depth knowledge of SCM and version control systems to design and implement an intuitive, user-friendly abstraction layer over Git;
- Built the abstraction layer to function as a versioned cloud storage system;
- Integrated the solution into an Electron application using TypeScript, Vue 2, and Dugite (a JavaScript binding for Git CLI);
- Added features to support managing shared simulation models in Evolvix, a model description language.
